Retired but not tired, Tamanna Mistry has redefined and introduced ‘Pickle Your Plate’ ; a home made , healthy and yummy pickles for pickle lovers.
For Tamanna, pickle making is a sacred ritual that demands extreme diligence and patience. Therefore the process starts with sourcing the seasonal produce directly from local farmers. The spices are procured from different corners of the country and are home ground to preserve their aroma and prevent any adulteration. Then starts the slow and painstaking process of curing the ingredients in traditional earthen jars and sun drying till they are seasoned to perfection.
Tamanna also considers pickle making as a form of art that is an affiliation of her own image. She works with passion and skill to redefine traditional pickles with her own modern twist. She takes pride in ensuring her home made recipes are distinct, oozing with flavours, unlike anything you would find in the market.
HEALTH BENEFITS
Having to undergo major lifestyle changes herself, Tamanna best understands the many health concerns surrounding pickles. She continues to dispel myths about pickles being unhealthy. She takes utmost care, using only natural ingredients such as rock salt and unrefined mustard oil in all her preparations. All her pickles are free from any artificial preservatives or food colour and are packaged in glass jars to ensure that only the best reaches her customers.
